After celebrating Chinese New Year, the weather is getting warmer and we can feel that Spring is already at our door! Last month, Wingtat held a gala dinner in celebration for Wingtat's 25th Anniversary. The event was of course very successful and had over 200 guests attending. Wingtat 25th Anniversary Lucky Draw Sticker event has successfully come to an end on February 28th. Thank you to everyone who participated. Furthermore, the winners for Wingtat CNY Lucky Draw Campaign "Charity Gold Goat" Give Away and "Cousins in CNY Charity Concert" Tickets give away have been drawn. Lucky winners have been posted in our enews below and on our webpage. Wingtat Kitchen is introducing more new recipes for you to enjoy. Wingtat's deadline for Wingtat new Member registration is approaching on March 31st. Don’t miss the chance to tell your family or friends who wants to become a Wingtat Member now.

On February 27th, Wingtat held a gala dinner at the Jade Chinese Seafood Restaurant in Richmond to celebrate Wingtat’s 25th anniversary. There were over 200 guests, growers, business industry partners and staff participating the event. Wingtat sincerely thanks all our gift sponsors for their support and especially to all the congratulatory message sponsors. The MCs of the evening were reputable TV host - Miss Virginia Mok and Wingtat Marketing Manager - Miss Melissa Ng. We had also invited Mrs. Taam, Mrs. Chiu and BC Chicken Marketing Board as our evenings’ special guests. We also had representatives from am1320, Fairchild TV, Ming Pao Newspaper, CIBC and BDO Chartered Accountants attending the evening’s dinner celebration.

During the event, Wingtat arranged a lot of games with prizes, including "Like Wingtat’s Facebook Page". First guest to Like our page will win tickets of their choice to either Canucks Hockey Game or Cousins in CNY Charity Concert. The 2nd guest to Like our page will win the other set. Afterwards, we had the Lucky Pocket Game; 20 randomly selected individuals, one from each table, will receive a Lucky Pocket. Out of the 20 lucky guests, 10 of them each win the 2015 Charity Gold Goat Gift Set.

Additionally, we had Anniversary Book Question & Answer game. If a member from a table answers question correctly, everyone at the table wins Wingtat's upcoming product: Wingtat Chinese Sausage with Chicken & Pork. Everybody looked forward to our Wingtat Raffle Draw for gifts. All the sponsored gifts were minimum $100 value. After a heartwarming thank-you speech by Eric Ng, who spoke on behalf of management, it was time for the evening’s draw for the Grand Prizes. The Grand Prizes of the night were $1,000 Travel Gift Certificate from Bradner Farms, two iPhone 6 in Gold and $2500 cash cheque from Wingtat. Every guest also received Wingtat 25th Anniversary Wine Bottle Accessory Gift Set (wine bottle opener, drip collar and vacuum stopper) and Wingtat 25th Anniversary Flexi Cutting Board. Our guests also enjoyed the photo booth. The setup of the photo booth allow guests to take serious or silly photos on the spot and received instant print outs to take home as a souvenir.

Wingtat 25th Anniversary Sticker Lucky Draw has has finally concluded on February 28th. In the last 4 months of the lucky draw, Wingtat has over 40+ participating locations selling our feature products. Wingtat sincerely thank everyone's participation and support. Wingtat will randomly select 25 lucky numbers. The lucky draw result will be announced on March 27th, 2015 via Wingtat website and Wingtat e-newsletter. In this issue, Wingtat Kitchen is introducing two new recipes for you to enjoy with family and friends.

Silkie chicken is the top choice ingredient for making soup, because it’s low in fat and it contains the finest nutritional essence among all chicken. It is therefore easily absorbed by the human body, it has a very high nutritious value. Ri Yue Fish is a dried seafood with sweet and delicious taste, it can balance your system and enhance the eyesight. Goji Berry which is also good for a healthy eyesight and for replenishing blood. This golden combination creates a healthy and delicious soup for the whole family.

Pumpkin is a healthy ingredient with lots of fiber. Recently, it’s loved by health conscious individuals. It can be used for making dessert, dishes or soup. In this issue, we will use Cornish Hen and plain soya milk to create a nutritious soup full of protein. Fry the Cornish Hen until medium well. Then add in diluted soya milk and bring to a boil. As a result, the chicken will remain perfectly tender. Add in golden pumpkin cubes and flowery shaped mushroom to finish up. The outcome is a delicious soup ready to be served.

How to Become a Wingtat Member:
Deadline for application is on March 31st, 2015, interested individuals can visit our website, www.wingtat.ca and click on the Membership tab and download the application form. You can choose to send the completed application form by mail or drop off with cheque to Wingtat Membership Centre. There will be a one-time registration fee of $25. Occasionally, during certain promotions and/or special events, the membership fee will be waived or discounted. However, we strongly recommend applying early as the numbers of Memberships available are limited!

If you want to sign up and receive the membership card right away, please visit Specialty Chicken & Wonton House and ask for application form to fill out. SCWH only accepts $25 registration fee in form of cash.
